Ciudad Rodrigo

This little town was originally a Celtic village and later overtaken by the Romans until 1810 during the Napoleonic Wars in the Siege of Ciudad Rodrigo which became a historical event in guarding the routes into Spain from the French. Series of artworks and centuries old of architecture remain standing. Visitors can walk through the castle walls that once held Napoleon's army from invasion.
